This project is an endeavor started by Priya Bansal, a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Maryland, as part of the summer 2019 fellowship with the Asian American Psychological Association, Division on South Asian Americans. It is a comprehensive (but likely not exhaustive) list of nonprofit organizations in the United States that work specifically with South Asian populations in a variety of fields, including mental health, domestic violence, LGBTQ issues, culture, community, and the arts.
The aim of this project is to be a centralized resource for individuals in the United States to get more involved with South Asian communities and organizations. Because this project generated so much interest, the original spreadsheet has been embedded into the main webpage.
